Family Order, Obedience, and the Process of God

This morning in episode #2026-415 of The Morning Charge Podcast, I talked about something that a lot of people do not want to hear, but absolutely need to understand

the process matters.

So many of us want the promise, the fruit, the breakthrough, the healthy family, the business, the calling, and the next level God has for us. But we do not always want the process He uses to get us there.

The truth is, obedience is not always easy, and the process is rarely comfortable.

Brandy shared this morning about how the Lord began speaking to her years ago about being a stay-at-home mom, homeschooling, and bringing family back into alignment. At the time, none of that felt easy or natural. It felt hard. It felt costly. It felt impossible in the natural. But through obedience, God began building a completely different lifestyle than what we had imagined.

That was a big part of today’s conversation.

The Process Is Preparing You for the Next Season

One of the strongest things we talked about was this:

every season you go through is preparing you for the next one.

If you fight the process, rush the process, or keep trying to escape the process, you can miss the very thing God is trying to build in you.

Sometimes He is building:

  • endurance
  • character
  • healing
  • wisdom
  • humility
  • leadership
  • the fruit of the Spirit

A lot of people want to operate in gifts, but God first wants to build fruit.

That matters.

Because if your character is not ready, your calling can crush you. If your heart is not healthy, the next level will expose what still needs healing.

Family Order Still Matters

We also talked deeply about family order.

Not culture’s version. Not religion’s version. God’s version.

When a home comes back into alignment with the Lord, everything begins to shift. That means husbands walking in right order under Christ. Wives walking in wisdom and strength. Children being trained, taught, and led in the ways of God. It means parents taking responsibility for discipleship in the home instead of handing that off to everybody else.

That part was strong this morning.

Because bringing family back into order is not about control. It is about coming back to the original design of God.

Obedience Produces Fruit

One of the clearest threads through the whole teaching was this:

when you obey God, even when it is hard, fruit comes later.

Not always immediately. Not always in the way you expected. But fruit comes.

That fruit shows up in:

  • your home
  • your marriage
  • your children
  • your character
  • your business
  • your healing
  • your peace
  • your purpose

A lot of people are trying to skip the hard part, but the process is where the fruit is formed.

A Few Things to Reflect On

  • What season has God had me in that I’ve been trying to rush through?
  • What might He be trying to build in me right now?
  • Have I been resisting obedience because it feels hard?
  • Is there an area of family order God is trying to restore in my life?
