This morning on The Morning Charge LIVE, we talked about a weighty word heading into the Ignite Conference this weekend:
what you thought would be just another small shaking is actually coming to shake everything.
The Lord showed a picture of what first looked like a 4.0 earthquake, but then when I looked again, it had changed to an 8.0 earthquake and the sense of it was clear… what many people think is just another small shaking is actually something much deeper.
God is not just stirring the surface. He is shaking what can be shaken so that what remains will be what is truly built on Him.
That was the heart of today’s teaching.
A shaking reveals what is loose, unstable, or not built right, and the fire of God burns away what does not belong. That means when things begin to surface in our lives, we should not panic. We should bring them to the altar.
This is not the season to protect what God is trying to remove. It is the season to let the fire of God burn away the things that should not remain.
Fear.
Compromise.
Old mindsets.
Pride.
Control.
Distraction.
Anything competing with full surrender.
ANYTHING!
The altar is where junk dies and devotion lives.
If we really want the fire of God, then we cannot keep dragging our baggage into the next season. We have to be willing to lay it down and let Him deal with it.
A Few Things to Reflect On
- What in my life feels like it is being shaken right now?
- What has surfaced that may need to go on the altar?
- Am I protecting anything God is trying to burn away?
- If God shook everything, what would remain?
